''Ugh… Why is it that every step I take I feel like I'm being shot…'' The oldest of the pups shuffled over the scorching ground. It seemed like the road to the river was endless. But as headstrong and brave as he was he continued on his horrible journey. ''I really hope my brothers are safe… Hmpf! I should worry about myself! I don't even know where I am…'' The little wolf headed towards a clearing, hoping to find something to encourage him. ''I should stop complaining. I won't get far if I keep it up like this…'' The pup stopped walking for a second. He perks his ears. Nothing. The night was as silent as they get. ''I…I gotta keep walking…'' With that he forced himself to push further into the almost spooky night.
''Hold it… Right there… Little pup…'' Low voices filled the silence. ''Wha? Who is there? Show yourself!'' The pup commanded, trembling when he found out he was being followed by a gigantic three-headed monster. ''Ain't you… A extraordinairy one…'' The middle and right spoke. ''I'm guessing you're that beast the hooded wolf told us about…?'' The pup asked. The shock paralyzed him. He couldn't run away. ''Meheh…HAHAHA! You're trembling… What's the matter? Did Mayday fill your head with ghost stories?'' The right head lowered to the height of the pup. ''Because if he did… He was right!'' He opened his mouth and a green ghost rushed out of it, flying right into the pup. ''What the- AAAH!'' The pup passed out right on the ground. ''Now… If you will excuse us… We need to pay a visit to your… Brother…'' With that the colossus walked off.
Minutes later the pup woke up. ''Ugh…The pain… It stopped… Hey, it stopped! I don't know what that ugly big guy did but it surely helped me!'' The pup shakes his fur and walks on. ''I do wonder who the fat guy ment by Mayday… Could it be that creepy mantled guy?'' The pup reached a puddle of water. ''Might as well take a sip while I get the chance… WHAT THE HELL?!'' When the pup lowered his head and looked into the water he noticed his appearance changed. His beautifull brown fur turned dark red and two small, blue humps broaden his shoulders. Black markings ran down his back and his face was covered by black, mask-like markings. ''WHAT DID THAT BEAST DO TO ME?!'' The pup was enraged over his new look. ''I, I will… I'll kill them for this…!'' The pup was knocked off his feet by his own words. ''What… What have you done to me…?'' The pup closed his eyes and a small tear rolled down from his cheeks. A roaring sound filled the silent night. But it was unlike anything the pup ever heard. ''I-I gotta keep moving… I don't wanna end up as monster-chow'' The pup shook his head and got up. Slowly, step by step, he walked away from place he met the giant hound.
''…The river… Styx is calling…''
